Here is your God!. . .to whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal? says the Holy One. Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. ~From Isaiah 40
In a culture that is media-drenched and fast-paced, where moral relativism brainwashes even Christians into believing that life is about pleasure and self-preservation, we can easily develop “spiritual cataracts.” Cataracts of the eye cloud vision, reduce sharpness and clarity, and can eventually cause blindness. Likewise, spiritual cataracts form from the build-up of half-truths, collected in our hearts over time. As a result, our ability to “see” through eyes of faith and trust God when it is hard is impaired. Discerning between truth and fiction becomes increasingly difficult, causing confusion about who we are and who is God. Worry, anxiety, even depression soon follow . . . and the cycle continues.
What is the cure for spiritual cataracts? Rediscover your awe and wonder of God.

Father God, cleanse our minds by the washing of Your Word. Align our ideas and perspectives with Truth. Restore our wonder at Your greatness and majesty. Open our eyes to see You as You truly are and to see ourselves and others through Your eyes as well.
